Welcome to the 'The Villargers', a website dedicated to Sunday League Side AFC Southchurch.

AFC Southchurch were created over the early months of 2007 and were elected to the Southend Sunday League for the 2007/2008 season.

The Club went from strength to strength in their first campaign and finished the season with success beyond their wildist dreams.

AFC Southchurch were promoted from the Southend Sunday League Division 6 as Champions. The lads finished the league season unbeaten winning 17 of their 18 League games and scoring in excess of 100 goals. AFC Southchurch also made the semi final of the Charity Cup section 'B' and crowned the magnificent first season win a 7-2 victory in Section 'D' of the Southend Sunday League Cup!

AFC Southchurch boast the nickname of 'The Villargers' as a tongue in cheek gesture to the recent re-naming of the Southend East area to Southchurch Village.

AFC are a side formed with the intention of re-uniting friends and keeping them socialy in touch with each other aswell as commiting to regular participation in a huge common passion in our lives...Football.

Bring on the Banter, The Beers and of course the Footy!

AFC will aim to go from strength to strength over the coming season and experience and tackle all kinds over the year.
